Larry Russel Trotter

Larry Russel Trotter, 71, of Saluda, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 3, at Richland Springs Baptist Church with interment in Good Hope Lutheran Church Cemetery in Ward with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Rusty Trotter officiating.

Active pallbearers are Will Trotter, Carl Enlow, Richard Elders, Marcus Robertson, Lucas Robertson, Robby Robertson, Shane Robertson and David Wilson.

Mr. Trotter was born in Joanna, SC son of the late William Clarence “Will” Trotter and Rose Hawkins Trotter. He was a member of Richland Springs Baptist Church. He was married to the late Julia Trotter. Mr. Trotter was a veteran of the Army National Guard, a retired heavy equipment operator for Mabus Bothers Construction and an active member with the Saluda Young Farmers.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Trotter (Ronette) of Saluda; Rev. Rusty Trotter (Leslie) of Gilbert; grandchildren: Will, Carrie Rose, Gracie, Allie Lynn and Laurie Alice Trotter. He was predeceased by his brother, Frank Trotter; sister, Wilrose T. Rodgers; granddaughters, Emily Rose and Madelyn Grace Trotter.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Thursday, November 2, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Richland Springs Baptist Church, 1895 Duncan Road, Ward, SC 29166.
