Alfred Glenn Shumpert

Alfred Glenn Shumpert, 66, of Gilbert, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Mr. Shumpert was born in Columbia, SC, the son of the late Alfred Coleman and Nina Johnson Shumpert. He loved the great outdoors, riding his Harley Davidsons, hunting, fishing and spending time with his beagles. He cherished his family, his grandchildren, and his children beyond all else. Mr. Shumpert was an amazing dad, granddaddy, brother and uncle, who will be deeply missed. He loved life and was great at living it.

Surviving are his children, Lucas Shumpert and Kathleen Shumpert; and grandchildren, Duncan Corum and Lolly Dutton all of Gilbert. Also surviving are his sister, Melodie Shumpert Ketcham; nephews, Dylan Senterfeit and William Ketcham; as well as many extended family and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Shumpert will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 22nd at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
