Annie Mae Trotter Cockrell

October 22, 1933 — May 26, 2017

Annie Mae Trotter Cockrell, 83, of Batesburg-Leesville, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 Sunday, May 28, at First Baptist Church of Batesburg with Rev. Henry Stamper officiating. Visitation will be held after the service at the church.

Mrs. Cockrell was born in Saluda County, daughter of the late Bobbie Eugene and Allie Mae Matthews Trotter. She was married to the late Griffin Troy Cockrell. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Batesburg where she was a member of the Ruth Fellowship Sunday School Class, Julia Mae Missionary Group and Caring Hearts Bible Study. She was a weaver at J.B. Martin until retirement. After retirement, Mrs. Cockrell worked at Rawls Auto Auction in the cafeteria and also Lexington Jewelers. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Billy (Sheila) Cockrell; Randy (Dale) Cockrell; daughter and son-in-law, Allison (Dave) Reese; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jerry) Bedenbaugh; Wade (Kayla) Cockrell; Laura (Bryan) Addy; and Phoebe Reese; great grandchildren, Reese Bedenbaugh; Layla, London, Chase Cockrell and Bryson Addy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Barney and Robert. E. Trotter.
