Arthur F Gunter

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Arthur F. Gunter will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 13, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 533 Hayride Road, Gilbert, SC 29054. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 12, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.

Mr. Gunter, 88, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, August 11, 2016. Born in Lexington County on September 28, 1927, he was the son of the late Elvin and Iney Bouknight Gunter. Mr. Gunter worked many years as a machinist for Barefoot Machine Shop. He was an Army Veteran who served in WWII.

Mr. Gunter is survived by his 3 sons, B.F. “Billy” Gunter; Melton (Linda) Gunter; and David (Paula) Gunter all of Gilbert. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Vivian Gunter.
