Barbara Ann Amick, 79, of Leesville, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born in Lexington, SC, on April 27, 1943, the daughter of the late Eugene Gus and Sally Mozelle Oxner. She was most known as "Bobbie" to her friends and many beloved Price and Oxner cousins, as well as Aunt Bobbie to her many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Bobbie married her sweetheart, Bruce at the age of 16 and her oldest child, Tony was born on her 18th birthday in 1961. What a joyful birthday gift for her!
Bobbie was a homemaker and was known for her delicious cakes that she baked and decorated for many of the “neighbor” and “family” weddings and birthday cakes all over the community. She also enjoyed sewing and doing alterations for her friends and family. Bobbie was a devoted choir member at her church for many years and during her early teens she sang with her family and friends in different bands. Later in life, she and the love of her life, Bruce, sang in many Assisted living homes and Nursing home facilities where they performed for many folks in her same situation and brought so much joy for those in special care. She had a voice of an angel and could sing harmony like no ones business! Bobbie loved her flowers and she was a great cook! She adored her kitties in all of the seasons of her life. There was always one or 2 cats in her life. She was a beautiful human being inside and out and was so loved by many.
