Barbara C. Buchner

Barbara C. Buchner, 87, of Batesburg, went home to Heaven Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 27, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Seivern Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Milford Oswald officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Buchner was born in Augusta, GA, daughter of the late Willie Bedford Cawley and Rosa Lena Cadle Cawley. She was married to the late Rev. William John Buchner, Sr. Mrs. Buchner was a devoted preacher's wife and a Sunday School teacher for more than fifty years. She was a loving mother who served the Lord faithfully. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Bill (Marilyn) Buchner; Tim (Carolyn) Buchner all of Wagener; daughters, Catherine (Steve) Osteen of Leesville; Rebecca Padgett of Batesburg; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Batesburg Building Fund, 436 West Church Street, Batesburg, SC 29006.
