Betty Lou Rowe,93, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at her residence in West Columbia, South Carolina. Born on March 16, 1931, she was a daughter of the late B.G. Taylor and Avolee Gunter Taylor. Betty Lou was a woman of grace, strength, and warmth. Her kindness and loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends. Betty Lou was a dedicated employee at Allied Chemical, where she worked for many years. Her commitment and hard work were admired by her colleagues and she took great pride in her professional life.


Betty Lou is survived by her son, Roger D. Rowe, and daughter-in-law, Mitchalene. She also leaves behind cherished memories with her two grandchildren, Stephen Rowe and Angela Rowe, and her three great-grandchildren, Stephen Douglas Rowe Jr., Kaylin D. Rowe, and Piper Rowe. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buster Rowe; sons, Larry and Stephen Rowe; as well as her parents and several siblings, who she spoke of fondly and held close in her heart.


A graveside service to celebrate Betty Lou's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 9th, at Ridge Crest Memorial Park, with Rev. Brett DeYoung officiating.


Arrangements have been lovingly provided by Milton Shealy Funeral Home, ensuring that Betty Lou’s final journey is handled with the care and respect she deserves.
