Bradden Barry Black, 50, of Saluda, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Mr. Black was born in Abbeville, SC, a son of the late Valton Grady and Geneva Sue Berry Black. He was a member of Saluda First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Black was employed with Blanchard Machinery for 25 years and Wellington Capital Reserve for 2 years. He was a handy man and loved being outdoors, especially going hunting. Most importantly, he was a loving husband and dad. P.S. "Don't Steal the Peas!!"
Surviving are his wife of 31 years, Susan Bartley Black; daughters, Mattie E. Black (Josef) and Jordan A. Black; and two special friends, Izzy and PePe. Also surviving are his father-in-law, Freddie Bartley (Tavy); sisters-in-law, Lynn Smith (Bradley) and Freda Barrett (Jason); along with his three nieces; one nephews; three great nieces; two great nephews; and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Rachel Diane Bartley and great niece, Caylie Berry.
The funeral service for Mr. Black will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 4th at Saluda First Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Furman Matthews Cemetery. Rev. Louie Murray will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church. Active pallbearers will be: Dennis Corley, Phillip Anderson, Marshall Wells, Mikey Barton, Wendell Duncan and Ben Livingston.
