Brenda Hazel Fox Wheeler

Brenda Hazel Fox Wheeler, 74, of Batesburg, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, March 10, at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Bill Paulling officiating. Visitation will be held after the service in the sanctuary. Active pallbearers will be Craig Warren, Larry Wheeler, Jeremy Benjamin, Travis Benjamin, Tyler Matthews, and Lester Whitfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Fox, Luke Smith, Ricky Gantt and Brandon Warren.

Mrs. Wheeler was born in Batesburg, SC, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Nezzie Lee Asbill Fox. She was married to the late James Wheeler. She was a member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church. Mrs. Wheeler enjoyed helping people and always had a smile on her face.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Glenn (Sandra) Wheeler; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy (Lewis) Waters; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne (Dottie) Fox; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shelby (James) Rikard; Lavone (Doyle) Benjamin; grandchildren, Glenn (Hope) Wheeler; Thomas Wheeler; Jake Waters; Hunter Waters; Ashleigh Waters (John Watts); great grandchildren, Tyler Matthews, JJ Quattlebaum, Madison Watts; and two unborn great grandchildren, baby girl Watts and baby Matthews. She was preceded in death by brother, Wyman Fox.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
