Carolyn Cornelia Wheeler

Carolyn C. Wheeler, 88, of Leesville, passed away June 30, 2024. Born on April 18, 1936, to the late Carroll and Ruby Erline Holsenback New. Mrs. Wheeler was married to the late Sam Wheeler, Jr. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Surviving are her sons, Michael Wayne Wheeler (Teresa) and Donald Wayne Wheeler (Hope); grandchildren, Shelley Grace Bostelaar, Johnathan Odell Wheeler, Amber Rose Wheeler, Shelton Nathanial Wheeler, Jacalyn Amanda Wheeler, and Eric Blake Shealy (Terese); 10 great-grandchildren; along with many other extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her brother, William T. "Donnie" New.

The service for Mrs. Wheeler will be held at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, July 3rd, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, with Pastor Jud Hook officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1 o'clock. Burial will follow in the Ridge Crest Memorial Park Cemetery.
