Cathy Lorraine Craps

Cathy Lorraine Craps, 61, of Leesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025. She was born in Union, SC, to the late Paul Edward and Mildred Warren Stapleton. Cathy was married to the love of her life, the late Kenneth "Dean" Craps.

A devoted member of Calvary Chapel of Lexington, Cathy found joy in spreading the word of God. She had a passion for birdwatching, traveling, attending concerts, taking cruises, and spending time at the beach. She especially loved camping with her family, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts. Above all, Cathy’s greatest joy was her family, whom she loved deeply.

Shortly before her passing, she shared that she felt her mission in life was complete —having witnessed her son marry the love of his life, a Christian woman who would walk beside him in faith. Cathy’s kindness, love, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth "Paul" Craps (Beth), and her treasured granddaughter, Haley Jade Craps. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Broome, and her niece, Lacey McGowan (Todd), along with many dear friends who will miss her greatly.

A memorial service to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held at a later date.
