Celia Cockrell

Celia Yvonne Cockrell, 83, of Batesburg passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, June 12th, at Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The Rev. Libby Newman will officiate.

Mrs. Cockrell was born in Batesburg, SC, a daughter of the late Hoyt M. and Meta Seigler Senterfiet. She was married to the late Jacob Lorick. Mrs. Cockrell was a member of the Batesburg Church of the Nazarene and loved listening to gospel music. She loved her family and pet poodle, Pooh.

Surviving are her children, Sara Smith (Tommy), Gene Cockrell (Paulette), and Cynthia Patten; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Cockrell; grandson, Michael Eugene Cockrell; sisters, Pearl Harmon, Maurice Black; and a brother, Mack Senterfeit.
