Charles Duane Fink

Charles Duane Fink, 80, of Gilbert, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was born in Gilbert, SC, and was the son of the late Thomas Barton "T.B." and Ellie Alma Smith Fink. Mr. Fink was married to the late Linda Kaye Galloway Fink, and was a member of Pond Branch United Methodist church, where he sang in the choir. He also took piano lessons, was a member of the FFA , and the boys scout where he earned his Eagle Scout. Mr. Fink worked on a dairy farm for 15 years and owned his own trucking company.

Surviving are his children, Sherri Miller (Steve), Chuck Fink (Teresa), Tom Fink (Renee), and Greg Fink (Tonya); grandchildren, Wesley Miller (Megan), Kristin Miller (Criss Guinn), Amanda Pickell (Lee), Stephen Fink, Nichole Derrick (Russell), Carrie Fink, Nick Galloway, Jake Galloway, Caleb Fink, Eli Fink, Bethany Fink, Sarah Jadon Fink, Angeline Fink, Ruth Fink and Sephora Fink; and ten great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Andy Galloway.

The funeral service for Mr. Duane will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 24th at Pond Branch United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The Rev. Drew Martin and Rev. Jerry Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the Pond Branch United Methodist Church Family Activity Building. Active pallbearers will be: Wesley Miller, Eli Fink, Russell Derrick, Criss Guinn, Tommy Amick, Lee Pickell, Nick Galloway and Jake Galloway. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to: Pond Branch United Methodist Church, 1913 Pond Branch Road, Gilbert, SC 29054.
