Chester Rodgers Chrisley,76, of Saluda passed away peacefully on January 23, 2021 at Prisma Health Richland Hospital after being injured in a car accident on January 15, 2021.
Chester was born on September 22, 1944 in Greenwood, South Carolina to the late Johnny and Nell Chrisley. He was the eighth of 10 siblings: Jewel, Jeanette, Robert, John, Leroy, Doc, Sue, Chester, Melvin and Donny. Chester enlisted into the US Navy and served active duty in Vietnam during 1966 to1967. On June 15, 1968 he married his love, Vicki Merchant. They were married until her passing on February 29, 2016.
Chester was an avid golfer, baseball, and softball player. He was a proud veteran who assisted other veterans in getting service connected with the VA. Chester was a hard worker who held jobs in construction, carpentry, and masonry throughout his life. He was affectionally known as “Pop” to his son and grandchildren.
Surviving are his son, Mark Chrisley; grandsons, Nicholas Chrisley (Savannah), Ridgell Chrisley; and great grandson, Drayton Chrisley. He is also survived by his siblings, Leroy Chrisley, Sue Westmoreland and Melvin Chrisley. In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Vicki, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Jewel, Jeanette, Robert, John, Doc, and Donny.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a graveside service to honor Pop at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 253 Shiloh Church Road, Saluda SC 29138, on Thursday, January 28th, at 11:00 A.M.
The Chrisley’ s would like to express their extreme gratitude for the gracious and loving care the STIC unit at Prisma Health Richland they gave Pop during his final days.
