Dean Taylor

Dean Taylor, 61, of Saluda, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022. Mr. Taylor was born in Newberry, SC, a son of the late Edward Gordon and Lanelle Virginia Johnson Taylor. He was married to the late Teresa Lynn Padgett. Mr. Taylor was a hard working man who had the most compassionate and loving spirit. He would give you the shirt off his back. Most importantly, he loved his kids and grandkids. Mr. Taylor loved to fish and his words, "fish on."

Surviving are his children, Robert Edward Taylor (Jessica Day), Tiffany Lynn Chavis (Jake), Megan Virginia Taylor (Ciera Still), Matthew Johnson Taylor (Ashlyn Miller) and Jacob Eugene Taylor; grandchildren, Katelyn Michelle Burley, Robert Anthony Taylor, Gracie Leighann Chavis, Maddison Elizabeth Chavis, Morgan Lanette Chavis, Hunter Daniel Chavis, Brandon Wyatt Chavis, Mason Dean Chavis, and Harmony Deanalyn Chavis; and great grandchildren, Ava Kinsley Burley and Hazel Mae Burley. Also surviving is his brother, Barry Taylor. In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Taylor.

The memorial service for Mr. Taylor will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 23rd at Faith Community Fellowship Church, 157 W. Frontage Road, Aiken, SC 29805. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 21st at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
