Debra McCullough Surber, 64, of Batesburg, SC passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021. Born in Monetta, SC she was the daughter of Betty Jean Hughes McCullough and the late Vernon “Freck” McCullough. Always a hard worker, Ms. Surber was employed at Wellington, The State Newspaper, and Wiz’s Convenience Store. She was known to many for her favorite job, the Ice Cream truck, The Pop Stop. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and a friend to all.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Surber; sons, Will Surber and Ben Surber; mother, Betty Jean McCullough; sister, Kay Puckett (Frank) her favorite brother-in-law; brothers, Danny McCullough (Sonya) and Terry McCullough. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her granddog, Brooks. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wayne McCullough and Keith McCullough.
The service for Ms. Surber will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 23rd at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, 115 N. Pine Street, Batesburg. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Reverend Chuck McAlister will officiate. The family request in Debra's honor to please dress casual, come as you are and mask are requested.
