Delores Troutman Hall Taylor, 80, of Leesville, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023. The eldest and only daughter of the late Freddie and Catherine Younce Troutman was born on January 10, 1943. Delores was a member of the Adult IV Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Gilbert where she was a long time member. She was a devoted and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She was predeceased by two incredible husbands. Her first love, James Truitt Hall, whom she was married to for 19 years, which she "chased" after as a car hop at "Jakes". Her second husband, Johnny Jason Taylor, whom she was married to for 29 years, who she met on a "blind date". Nannie enjoyed the outdoors, working in her yard, Willie Nelsons Blue Eyes Crying on the Rain, Good Ole Southern Gospel Songs, and soap opera shows. She was also known as the shopping queen, shopping until she dropped without spending a dime! But she got the most pleasure out of being called "Nannie" by her pride and joy, Truedith McKayla "McKay" Faulkner.
Delores leaves behind to cherish her "Precious Memories" her only daughter, Jan Nell Faulkner (Mike); and her only granddaughter, McKay. Along with her two brothers, Edwin Troutman (Vesta) and Roger Troutman; and sister-in-law, Lynette Troutman. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by a brother, Bennie Troutman.
The funeral service for Delores will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 12th, at First Baptist Church of Gilbert with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. A private burial will follow in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the church.
