Dorothy H. Enlow Denby, 89, passed away Tuesday, June 5 2018. Mrs. Denby was born in Saluda County, daughter of Walter LaFayette “Fate” and Mary Nannie Eidson Harmon.
She graduated from Saluda High School class of 1944. She was a bookkeeper ending her career at Saluda Meat Center, Saluda. She was a faithful member of Clydes Chapel Southern Methodist Church serving as Sunday School Teacher, Church Treasurer and other church organizations. She enjoyed gardening. There wasn’t a flower she didn’t love.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, DeAlva “De” (Bryant) Williams of Batesburg; Sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip (Sharon) Enlow of West Columbia, Timothy K (Judy) Enlow of Batesburg; Grandchildren, Elizabeth Enlow of , Waltham Ma., Ashleigh (Justin) Lewis of Lexington , Matthew (Megan) Enlow of Monetta and Hannah (J.J.) Jones of Batesburg; Great- grandchildren, Caleb Lewis, Zoey Lewis and a soon- to-be great- grandson Jones. Brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie (Sybil) Harmon of Batesburg.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Denby was preceded in death by her first husband Merritt Duane Enlow , Second Husband Thomas Denby, son Joel B. Enlow, great grandson, Henry Michael Lewis; brothers, Gerald, Darrell, Laurie Harmon and a sister, Muriel Causey.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 9 at Clydes Chapel Southern Methodist Church with interment in the church cemetery Rev. Greg Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M Friday, June 8 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her son, Tim Enlow.
