Douglas Bryan Corder

Douglas Bryan Corder, 59, of West Columbia, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park with Reverend Virgil Bagwell officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service on Sunday and other times at the home of his sister, Jo Retta Rawl of Lexington.

Active pallbearers are Matthew Alveshire, Brian Smith, Rick Rawl, Michael Pordes, Larry David and Donnie Gardner. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Ray and Ray Oswald.

Mr. Corder was born in Columbia, SC son of Quitman Davis Corder Jr. and Annie R. Corder. He had retired after 30 years of service with Lexington School District 2.

Surviving are his mother, Annie Corder; daughter, Laura Kimberly Pordes; sisters, Donna C. Smith; Jo Retta Rawl; brother, Thomas Linn Corder; and two grandsons: Ian and Drew Pordes. He was predeceased by his father; Quitman Davis Corder Jr. and a brother, Timothy K. Corder.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Eastside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2159, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29070.
