Earl Stone

Earl Stone, 83, of Leesville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, at his home. Born on April 15, 1941, in Batesburg, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Frank Allen and Minnie Enlow Stone. Mr. Stone was a faithful and devoted member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he served the church in many capacities. His favorite was serving the senior adult's Sunday school class. He was known for his kind heart, generosity, and warm spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His legacy of love, kindness, and commitment to his faith will live on through his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Stone; children, Michael Earle Stone (Vanessa), William Bradley Stone (Christine), and Deborah Stone Corley (Ed); grandchildren, Ann Melinda Stone (Blaze DeHart), Ethan Franklin Stone, Dargan Ashley Stone, Riley Christian Stone, Reagan Elizabeth Stone, Sadie Mae Stone, Brittany Corley Crane (William), and Christopher Alan Corley; sister, Sarah Stone O'Malley (Ronan); brothers, Charlie Stone (Nancy), and John Stone (Anne). In addition to his parents, Mr. Stone was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Stone; a sister, Mary Dempsey; and sisters-in-law, Louise Stone and Gertrude Stone.

The memorial service to honor Mr. Stone’s life will be held at 11 A.M. on February 5th at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Reverend Lawrence Carrigan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 607 S Bethlehem Rd, Batesburg, SC 29006.
