Edna Padgett Williams, 91, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 19, at West Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Hank Fanning officiating.
Mrs. Williams was born in Batesburg, SC, daughter of the late John and Lula Padgett. She was the wife of the late Gordon Lamar “Bill” Williams. She retired from Amick Farms in 1990.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael P. (Gayle) Williams; Bryant L. (De) Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa (Terry) Brown; grandchildren, Sabrina (David) Berry; Leigh (Joseph) Holmes; Erin (Mike) McCormick; great grandchildren, Brooke and Tori Berry; Charlie, Chase and Chapin Holmes; Marlee and Spencer McCormick; and lots of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Broadus, Harvey, Wilbur, Curtis, James and Cortez Padgett; and two sisters, Rosa Lee Wasson and LaVeda Swygert.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, September 18, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Creek Baptist Church, 248 Church Road, Batesburg, SC 29006 or King Partner Program, W. Wyman King Academy, 1046 Sardis Road, Batesburg SC 29006.
