Felipe Deluna-Lopes

Felipe Deluna-Lopes, 69, of Johnston passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his home. A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Deluna-Lopes will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 30,2021 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 320 W. Columbia Ave, Batesburg, South Carolina with burial to follow in the Deluna Family Ranch in Johnston, South Carolina. Active pallbearers will be Pedro Deluna, Trey Deluna, Manuel Deluna, Jesus Arreguin, Porforio Deluna and Chabelo Deluna.

He is survived by his wife, Hermelinda Deluna; and his children, Bibiana Arreguin, Pedro Deluna, Maria Luisa Deluna, and Lorena Deluna.

Felipe Deluna Lopes was a farmer and lifelong resident of Johnston, SC. He was born on November 20,1951 in Cavillo, Aguascalientes, a son of the late Pedro Deluna & Maria Luisa Deluna. He was a man with many passions that included gardening, taking care of his animals, and watching his favorite baseball team play, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Felipe Deluna Lopes was a devoted husband, father, uncle, brother, and his favorite grandfather/ “abuelo”. His family would describe him as humble, big-hearted, loving, caring, honest, straight forwarded and catering to anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He may be gone but now we have an angel watching over us.
