Frances Elouise Kneece Cone, age 90, of Batesburg went to her heavenly home, February 26, 2015. She was the daughter of Richmond Martin Kneece and Pansy Alma Corder Kneece. Mrs. Cone was born and raised in the rural community of Samaria. She was a graduate of Batesburg-Leesville High School and Newberry College. She began her teaching career in Ridge Spring, South Carolina, where she taught 7th grade. Elouise caught the eye of a young hardware store owner, Lee Roy Cone, on her daily walks to and from school. A courtship soon began and they were married on August 26, 1947. Elouise was faithful in her church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and helped with various children's mission groups. She was an active member of the Grace Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Lydia Mission Group. After many years as a homemaker, Elouise began her second career managing and running her mother's country store, Pansy Kneece Grocery. Her life was dedicated to serving her Lord and her family. Mrs. Cone is predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Lee Roy Cone; and her brother, O'dell Richmond Kneece. She is survived by her three daughters; Frances Ann (Jimmy) Shirley of Leesville, Vickie (Kim) Gunter of Batesburg, and Mary (Carl) Tolar of Lakeland, TN; grandchildren Jason, Kimberly, Kaci, Reagan, Reid, Jonathan, Sherry, Kyle, and Victoria; great grandchildren McKenna, Mac, Ellison, and Corder. The family wishes to thank Jeannette Byrd and Seria Cannon for their devotion and tender care.
