Francis Boatwright

Francis Larry Boatwright, 73, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 16th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The Rev. Bobby Smith and Rev. Rusty Trotter will officiate. Active pallbearers will be his grandsons, Branden Boatwright, Ashaley Boatwright, Jonathan Clark, Kody Clark, and Cole White. Honorary pallbearers will be Courie Boatwright, Larry Enlow, Pitts Boozer, Bobby Goff, Levi Boatwright, Noah Boatwright and Tommy Orr.

Mr. Boatwright was born in Columbia, SC, a son of the late Henry Carroll and Alice Boatwright. He retired from Saluda County after working there for many years. Mr. Boatwright was an fun loving jokester, always trying to put a smile on everyone's face. He loved the Lord and sharing his testimony. Until his health declined, Mr. Boatwright was very active in his community and church activities. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Ruthel Enlow Boatwright; children, Craig Boatwright (Crys), Christy Clark (Bobby), Gina White (Doug) all of Batesburg; grandchildren, Branden Boatwright (Emily), Jamey Martell, Ashaley Boatwright (Katie), Courie Boatwright, Levi Boatwright, Faith England, Noah Boatwright, Jonathan Clark (Karly), Kody Clark (Sam), Samantha Clark, Miracle White, Cole White (Courtney), and ten great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Cynthia Boozer (Wayne), Judy Koon (Carl), Deborah Ward (Duane), Ann Cotham, and Jerry Boatwright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie, David and Carroll Boatwright.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 15th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Fair Road, Greenville, SC, 29605.
