George Monroe Shealy

George Monroe Shealy, 90, of Gilbert, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 18, at Beulah United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery with Pastor Tony Rowell officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the church. Active pallbearers are Terry Burnett, Tom Rosson, Jr., Tom Covington Jr., Matthew Shealy, Collin Hendrix and George Makuta.

Mr. Shealy was born in Gilbert, SC son of the late George Marion Shealy and Sally Eunice Leaphart Shealy. He was a farmer. He was an Army Veteran he served in World War II. He was married to the late Doris J. Shealy.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, George M. (Vicki); daughters and sons-in-law, Judy D. Burnett; Joyce E. Rosson (Thomas J.); Jettie D. Covington (Thomas R.); Mona D. Pruitt (Anthony); brother, Harvey Shealy; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
