Bubba Preston

George William "Bubba" Preston, 64, of Batesburg, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Aiken County he was the son of the late Rachel M. Preston. Bubba loved life, his family and friends, and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was known to be a die hard Miami Dolphins fan.

Bubba is survived by his daughters, Amanda Preston of Batesburg and Rachel Cushman (Trey) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Riley, Tyler, Leisha Gartman and Adalyn Cushman. He is also survived by his siblings, Dean Preston (Jackie) of Gilbert, Lisa Padgett (Cojack) of Ridge Spring, David Preston, Kay Coats (Guy) all of Newberry, and Michael Preston of Columbia; his former wife and close friend, Melinda Harris; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Bubba was preceded in death by his mother Rachel and by a sister, Anna Teseniar.

The family will hold a private family celebration of life in the coming weeks.
