Gerald "Jerry" Keith Keenan

Gerald "Jerry" Keith Keenan, 87, of Gilbert, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022. Mr. Keenan was born in Delmont, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Ray C. and Ruth F. Lauffer Keenan. He was the youngest of their six children. At an early age, Jerry became an Eagle Scout. He spent his career driving 18-wheelers, where he hauled fuel up and down the east coast. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in Delmont, P.A. After retiring at age 55, Jerry and his wife spent their time traveling in their motor home all over the United States. They always had a mini-schnauzer with them. After moving to South Carolina, he came out of retirement and worked for Palmetto Propane for many years. Jerry enjoyed spending time working in the yard and swimming with his great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Dorothy "Dot" Kudray Keenan; daughter, Susan Bowman (Rick); grandchildren, Nicole Smith (Matthew), and Ryan Bowman (Molly); along with great grandchildren, Mason and Kaylin Smith and Drake Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers and two sisters.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Jerry.
