Gereah Davis

Gereah Davis, 84, of Pelion, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022. The funeral service for Ms. Davis will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 25th at Edmund First Baptist Church, 6256 Edmund Highway, Lexington, SC 29073 with the Rev. Johnny Slice officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ms. Davis was born in Prospect, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Louis Bass Hanna and Iva Nell Eaddy. She graduated from Indiantown High School in 1955. Ms. Davis retired from being an Insurance Agent and a Manager at Pelion Building Supplies. She was married to the late William Chaney Davis.

Surviving are her children, Joye Lynn Davis-Kirchner (Kevin) and Troy Davis (Amy); grandchildren, Austin Ryan Davis (Madeline) and Leslie Maria Davis. Also surviving are siblings, Trellis Nettles (Jamie); Louis F. Hanna (Diana); Patty Lou Hoffmeyer (Ronnie), and Annell Lee. In addition to her parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by her brother, Gareth B. Hanna.

She was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and playing scrabble. She will be missed dearly till we see her again.
