Hardy Ruble Worley

Hardy Ruble Worley, 87, of Batesburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Mr. Worley was born in Newport, TN, a son of the late Paul Preston and Gladys Jenkins Worley. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Worley, with whom he shared many wonderful years of marriage. When his health allowed, Hardy loved to work outside in his yard and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.

Surviving are his children, Wayne Worley, Roxanne Brewer (Carey), Darlene Sturgill (Mike), Nelson Worley (Robin); grandchildren, Leannda Landaw (Stacey), Emily Boyd (Auto), Nick Worley (Jaricka), Chris Worley (Natalie), Amanda Ryan (Rob), Jessica Pagan (Stevie); as well as his 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Bonnie Keller and Algie Worley; many nieces, nephews, friends and his best four legged friend, Chevy. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jeremy Brewer and Michael Sturgill; brother, Ralph Worley; and sisters, Polly Meyers and Grace Suggs.

The funeral service for Hardy will be held at 2 PM on Monday, November 25th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with burial following in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Pastor Lawrence Carrigan will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 24th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
