Harry Alton Crapps

Leesville

Harry Alton Crapps, 92, of Leesville passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024. Born in Joanna, SC, he was a son of the late Johnny Jacob and Mattie Clamp Crapps. Mr. Crapps was know as a hard working man who loved his westerns and watching wrestling. He was a member of Summerland Church and was proud to take care of the yard maintenance for many years until he reached 90. Mr. Crapps was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a true friend to all.


Surviving are his sons, Douglas Alton Crapps (Nancy) and Dwight Russell Crapps (Lisa); five grandchildren, Shannon (Jennifer), Brent, Tonia, Heidi (Warren), and Victoria (Paul); six great grandchildren, Sadie, Kendal, Kiersten, Kadin, Braden, and Josiah; and one great great granddaughter, Emery. Mr. Crapps is also survived by a sister, Lucy Crapps Hall; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Earline P. Crapps; his late wife, Lois Shealy Crapps; and a great granddaughter, Malori.


The services for Mr. Crapps will be held at 3 P.M. on Thursday, February 8th at Summerland Church with the Rev. Ray Massey officiating. Entombment will follow in Christ the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning from 2 until 3 P.M. at the church. Active pallbearers will be: Shannon Crapps, Brent Crapps, Braden Crapps, Paul Carter, Warren Twardziak and Kadin Lee.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summerland Church, 343 Summerland Highway, Batesburg, SC 29006.
