Harry Gordon Kirby, Jr., 89, of Gilbert, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, November 21, 2022. Gordon was married to the late Lucy D. Reeder Kirby. He was born on June 4, 1933 in Camden, New Jersey to the late Harry Gordon Kirby, Sr. and Helen E. Kirby. He was a retired plumber and a member of Pipe Fitters Union #322. Gordon served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. Gordon was a faithful member of the VFW #6740 of Lake Murray, SC.
Surviving are his children, Harry Gordon Kirby, III, Patty Wright (Bill), and Johnny Kirby; and grandchildren, Rob Duke (Ellie) and Tammy Duke; his step-sons, Ron Disher (Mirinda), Jack (Carolyn) Disher, and Chris Teideman (Sherry); step-daughter-in-law, Lani Disher, step-grandchildren, Karisa Ruth (Raymond), Philip Disher (Christie), and Donna Sutton; and step great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Adam Ruth, Kylie and Kinsey Disher, and Jason and Savannah Williamson. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Paul Kirby (Glennie), Lois Synder, Barbara Worley, Edward Kirby, Dorothy K. Lowe, Keith Kirby (Aline). In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank and David Kirby; sister, Nancy K. Reed; and a step-son, Ray Disher.
The funeral service for Mr. Kirby will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, December 2nd, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with burial following in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Rev. Joseph Hallman will officiate.
