Herman Lee Lybrand, Jr, 66, of Batesburg, was called home Wednesday, June 27, 2018. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Saturday, June 30, at Cedar Creek on the Ridge with his nephew, Rev. Kory Duncan and Pastor Kevin “K.T.” Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held after the service at the church.
Mr. Lybrand was born in Aiken, SC. He was the son of the late Herman Lee Lybrand, Sr and Carrie Belle Turner Lybrand. He was a member of Cedar Creek on the Ridge where he was recently baptized in February. And, since he has lived his life dedicated to serving the Lord. He loved his church and home group family. He will be greatly missed by family members and friends. Mr. Lybrand enjoyed fishing, duct tape, and Nascar racing. He was outgoing and loved by everyone he met. He was the owner and manager for a family owned restaurant Pizza House in Aiken, West Columbia, St. Andrews, and Griffin, GA for 30 years. He later worked at Watsonia until his health declined.
Surviving are his sister and main caregiver, Carol Lybrand Duncan; Uncle Edward Lybrand; nieces, nephews, cousins, in-law/outlaws. And his fur babies: Lilly, Extra, Tinker Belle, Patch and Jessie which he loved.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Christian Affiliation or Animal Rescue of one’s choice.
