Hugh Lagran Buzhardt

Hugh Lagran Buzhardt, 89, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, May 1 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in Christ the Good Shepherd Mausoleum with Reverend Hank Fanning officiating. Visitation will be held after the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Buzhardt was born in Saluda County, SC son of the late Hugh M. and Harriett Myrtle Buzhardt. Mr. Buzhardt was a member of West Creek Baptist Church. He was a US Army Veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred Lake Buzhardt; sons and daughters-in-law, Elon (Pansy) Buzhardt; Simon (Paula) Buzhardt; Jason Buzhardt; David (Janice) Bennett; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ida (Geoff) Timms; Jane (Marty) Amerson; brother, Dr. Richard Elbert Buzhardt; sister, Francis Helen B. McCarty; grandchildren: Libby (Will) Clark, Elissa (Brad) Barnes, Jay (Amber) Buzhardt, Cory Buzhardt, Martin (Kelly) Amerson, Sharon Amerson, Kristin (Ed) Taylor, Shiela (Mark) Reual and Cheryl (Clint) Paut; and thirteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, John Pete, Troy Winton, Jesse Theron, David Russell and Larry Calhoun Buzhardt.
