Iris Wise

Iris Ruth Wise, 84, of Monetta, passed away Monday, June, 16, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 18, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Vollie Gibbs officiating. Mrs. Wise was the daughter of the late Levi Arthur and Cleo Fulmer Rodgers. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher. She was a dedicated servant of the Lord. Mrs. Wise was very active in W.M.U., Children's Ministries, and Senior Adult Ministries. She was an avid helper for community needs. She retired from Allied Chemical. Surviving are her foster son, George Boyd (Wendy) Goff; step-son, Jack Cook, Jr; brother, Harold Rodgers; sisters, Mary Fallaw; Faye (LeRoy) Ouzts; Doris (Frank) Bartley; and a host of extended family. She was preceded in death by spouses, Loyd Goff; Lewis Wise; Jack Cook; and a foster son, Billy Goff. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 17, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, c/o Building Fund, 164 Mt. Pleasant Road, Ridge Spring, SC 29129.
