James "Jamie" Paul Amick

James “Jamie” Paul Amick, 28, of Leesville, passed away Tuesday, November 07, 2017. He was born in Columbia, SC son of David Perry Amick and the late Betty “BJ” Alexander.
He was a carpenter and worked for C2 Hardwood Flooring. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Gilbert. Jamie loved fishing, hunting and his dogs. He loved his extended family.

His is survived by his father, David Amick; brothers and sister-in-law, Jeremy Amick (Stacy); Josh Amick (Mandy); Jonathan Amick (Taylor); sisters and brothers-in-law, Jolene Alexander; Jessica Amick Smith (Travis); grandmother, Imogene Amick; nieces, Taylor Fontenot; Jaden Filyaw; Madison Filyaw; Hailey Mayberry and Aubrey Amick; nephews, Treyton Amick; J.R. Mayberry; Jamie Amick and Jonathan Amick.

He was predeceased by his mother, BJ Alexander; grandfather, Julian “Dude” Amick; grandfather, Bill Powers and grandmother, Martha Powers; nephew, Timothy Mayberry.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 10, at Grace Lutheran Church in Gilbert with visitation held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
