James Milo Miller

James Milo Miller, 82, of Gilbert, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021. A private graveside service will be held at Pond Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Drew Martin officiating.

Mr. Miller was born in Gilbert, SC, a son of the late Nathan and Ursula Smith Miller. He was married to the late Virginia Ballington Miller. Mr. Miller was a member of Pond Branch United Methodist Church. He originally started the 18 Wheeler Truck Stop that is now known as the 44 Truck Stop. Mr. Miller was an avid farmer and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Miller (Sherri), Mitch Miller (Barbara); grandchildren, Wesley Miller (Megan), Kristin Miller (Criss), Jason White (Lauren), Alyson Rawl (Kevin); great grandchildren, Maggie, Abygail, Hampton; and siblings, Doris Clamp, Nathan Miller Jr., Carroll Miller, Charles Miller, Donald Miller, Linda Quig, Gordan Miller, and Gene Miller. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Miller; and siblings, Edith Quattlebaum, Morris Miller, Celestine Roof, and David Miller.
