Janie E. Tucker

Janie E. Tucker formally of Batesburg, SC died January 14th after many years of declining health.

She was born in Bath, SC May 26, 1929 to William and Mamie Strong. She was preceded in death by twin sister, Annie and also her husband, Rev. Raymond F. Tucker. Surviving are her daughter, Becky Tucker of North Charleston; son, Rev. Raymond E. Tucker of Charlotte NC; and daughter, Carole Ross and her husband, Darrell Ross of Daniel Island SC; a brother, John Gary Strong and his wife, Juan Alice of New Ellenton, SC.

She was a church musician for over 50 years as well as Batesburg Town Clerk and Treasurer for 20 years.
The funeral service will held at the First Baptist Church of Batesburg Friday January 18th at 1:30 with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Langley SC. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service.
