It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Jason Roberts. This is a completely unexpected loss, and our family is devastated by this passing.
Jason was born on December 5th, 1970, to the late Jacqueline Stillinger and Benjamin Roberts Jr. Mr. Roberts was a bright spark of energy from the very beginning. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deanna Roberts; his cherished children, Katie and Peyton Roberts; and a niece, Dr. Lisa Creel (Donald). In addition to his mother, Jason was preceded in death by his sister, Jayne Crumpton.
Mr. Roberts embraced life with a passion for drumming, exploration, travel, and the outdoors. Friends and family remember him as a compassionate, loving, thoughtful, sensitive, caring, dedicated, hard-working, giving, witty individual who was always willing to help. To know Jason was to love him. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. Jason was a man of integrity and honor, dedicated to providing a loving home. He will leave a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Anyone who knew him knew the type of soul he had and knows how difficult this loss is for our family, as Jason leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and selflessness, and his grieving family and friends who will forever cherish the memories of his infectious laughter, his love for life, and the joy he brought to those around him. Jason’s untimely departure leaves a void that can never be filled. May he find eternal peace, and may his spirit continue to inspire others to embrace the beauty of life, just as he did.
The family invites friends to join them in remembering a young man whose adventurous spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many. A memorial service to celebrate Jason's life will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, June 14th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, 115 N. Pine Street, Batesburg, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 P.M.
