Jeanette Sawyer

Jeanette Grice Sawyer, 97, of Batesburg, passed away on January 26, 2022. Born July 4, 1924, in Wagener, SC, she was a daughter of the late Haskell L. and Grace Gardener Grice. Mrs. Sawyer was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she was very active. Jeanette loved camping, crocheting, bead crafts, and was known as a fantastic seamstress. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda S. Hall, grandchildren, Kim Feaster (Jason) of Batesburg and Todd Davis (Cher) of Leesville; great-grandchildren, Tate Feaster, Taylor Davis, and Emily Davis; a sister, Mickey Wannamaker, and brother, Dan Grice (Lavora). Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Thomas S. Sawyer; and brothers, James Ray, Harold and Gerald Grice.

The service for Mrs. Sawyer will be held at 2:00 P.M on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Bethlehem Baptist Church of Batesburg, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Ridge Crest Memorial Park.
