Jelaine Wingard

Edith Jelaine Wingard, 62, of Leesville died Thursday, August 19, 2021. The service for Ms. Wingard will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 25th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.

Born in Lexington County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Wingard and Edith Shealy Wingard. Jelaine was known to most as a selfless and caring person who was always willing to help in need, especially raising her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, hiking in the mountains, and had a love for flowers. Jelaine was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be missed by many.

Surviving are her children, Arlene Corley, Cain Rushton, Abel Rushton, Abraham Rushton (Crystal), Maria Rushton, Cameron Pendelton, Kaitlyn Pendelton, Courtney Pendelton and Amelia Rushton; her grandchildren, Lydia Corley, Jon Tomas Corley, Braelynn Rushton, Bree Shuler, Teyla Minner, Ethan Minner; great granddaughters, Amethyst Keisler and Lillian Corley. She is also survived by her sister, Velma Barrier (Hoyt); nieces and nephews, Darlene Craps, Renee Brown (Ron), and Leon Rish (Donna); and her furbaby, Piper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Wasson; brothers, Keith Wingard and Buddy Wingard.
