Katie Lou Taylor

Katie Lou Taylor, (Granny) 99, of Batesburg, SC passed away Monday, March 26, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 30, at Eastside Baptist Church with the Reverend Mitch Bruner officiating; burial will be in the Batesburg Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials contributions may be sent to Eastside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 2159, Batesburg, SC 29006.

Born in Fairview, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Simeon Miller and Anna Lee Duffie Miller and was the widow of the Toby Jennings and Marvin Taylor. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, a weaver at Burlington Industries for 40 years and worked at Shealy’s BBQ for 10 years.

Survivors include, granddaughters, Angela (Russell) Cockrell, Saluda, SC, Saundra (Lowell) Sloan, Irmo, SC, Suzanne (Mark) White, Chapin, SC; great grandchildren, Allen (Beth) Cockrell, Prosperity, SC, Richard Cockrell, Saluda, SC, Madyson and Brynson White, Chapin, SC, and Sabella Sloan, Irmo, SC; great-great grandchildren, Abagail and Jacob Cockrell.

She was preceded in death by her son, Denny Jennings; sisters, Peggy Miller Boylston, Josephine Miller Gantt, Carrie Mae Westmoreland, Betty Miller Adams; and a brother, Barney Miller.
