Larry Mcgee

Larry Mitchell McGee, 73, of Leesville, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 31st, at First Baptist Church of Leesville with burial to follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Charles Leonhardt and Rev. Jay Black will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., Monday, August 30th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be: Avery McGee, Seth McGee, Jeff Shealy, Richard Black, Nelson Rikard and Richard Senterfeit. Honorary pallbearers will be: Mitch Oswald and the Senior Men's Sunday School Class of First Baptist of Leesville.

Mr. McGee was born in Leesville, SC, a son of the late Louie M. and Loree Rikard McGee. He was married to the late Kathy Black McGee and a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. Mr. McGee retired from Michelin Tire of Lexington after 31 years of service.

Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Ricky McGee (Angie) of Leesville; and sister, Theresa Derrick of Leesville. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his only child, Mitchell "Mitch" McGee; and two sisters, Shirley M. Shealy and Nancy L. McGee.
