Leroy “Peter” Fulmer, 87, of Leesville, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 19, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park with Military Honors with Reverend Robert Culbertson officiating. Active pallbearers will be his nephews.
Mr. Fulmer was born in New Holland, SC son of the late Frank and Ruby Fulmer. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was a farmer. He was a Army Veteran who served in the Korean War he had received the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and with two Bronze Service Stars. He helped start the DAV in Batesburg.
Surviving are his wife, Mattie L. Fulmer of Leesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Regina (George) Ooten and Lynn (Danny) Tribble of Leesville; brother, Robert Bill Fulmer of Wagener; sister, Mildred Carver of Batesburg; grandchildren: Elizabeth (Dennis) Gainey, Kayla Minick and Dalyn Tribble.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, February 18, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
