Lorene Maffett Karter

Lorene Maffett Karter, 91, formerly of Springfield, SC passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Born in Greenwood, SC she was a daughter of the late Thomas T. Maffett and Flora Mae Turner Maffett. Mrs. Karter was a member of Faith Temple Holiness Church.

Surviving are her son, Buddy Reid and her daughter, Sue Ann Shealy (Bryson Laverle). She is also survived by her sister, Christine Whittle and brother, James "Mott" Maffett. In addition to her parents and husband, Jack Karter, Jr., Mrs. Karter is preceded in death by her sons, Harold, Robert, and Eric G. Karter; daughters, Debbie Bonnett and Sonya Reybold; siblings, Milton Maffett, Marion Maffett, Mildred Rushton, and Elizabeth Cockrell.

The memorial service for Mrs. Karter will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, December 3rd, at Faith Temple Holiness Church, 693 Hwy 702, Chappells, SC (Saluda County).
