Loretta Burton

Loretta Gail Harmon Burton, 66, of Batesburg, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her home. Born in Batesburg, SC on July 10, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Ruben and Pearl Senterfeit Harmon. Mrs. Burton loved scrapbooking and she attended Convent Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed tremendously.

Surviving are her daughter, Stephanie Gail Monroe (Paul Edwards); step-son, Chris Burton; and sister, Hope Haselwood. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Dawson Burton, Trenton Burton, Brittany Boland, Zachary Monroe, Joshua Monroe, Christian Wilson, Daniel "Bubba" Monroe, Jennifer Busbee and Donnie Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne Burton, Sr.; her son, D. Wayne Burton, Jr; and brothers, Steve Harmon and Daniel Harmon.

The graveside service for Mrs. Burton will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16th at the Harmon Family Cemetery, 441 Senterfeit Road, Batesburg, SC. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
