Louie Edward Jeffcoat, 69, of Leesville passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, July 28, 2023. Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late Edmond Louie and Emma Julia Taylor Jeffcoat.
He is survived by his son, Edward Scott Jeffcoat and daughter-in-law, Valerie Hallman; grandsons, Nicholas Jeffcoat and Jason Corder (McKayla Ellis); granddaughter, Brittany Gantt (Robbie); his mother-in-law, Ellie Mae Maroney; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Kelly, Cathy Maroney, Pam Boatwright (Bryan); and brother-in-law, Norris "Pete" Maroney, Jr. Mr. Jeffcoat is also survived by his sisters, Ruby Cato (Karl), Margie Jackson (Martin) and Betty Price (Ronnie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and and extended family. In addition to his parents and his wife, Susan Maroney Jeffcoat, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Shealy and Doris Martin.
Funeral services for Mr. Jeffcoat will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 31st at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Lear officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 until 11:00 a.m.at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be: Nicholas Jeffcoat, Jason Corder, Garvin Parcell, Try Curry, Ashton Caughman, Danny Bowling and Robbie Gantt.
