Mark Allen Hipp

Mark Allen Hipp, 54, of Prosperity, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 24, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. R.T. Bowling, III officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Nathan Hipp, Nate Wicker, Brian Smith, Kevin Looney, Hal Amick, Mike Hipp and Trey Outz.

Mr. Hipp was born in Vincennes, Indiana, son of the late Emory H and Shirley Hawkins Hipp. He was member of Zion United Methodist Church. Mr. Hipp was in the restaurant supply and food sales for 32 years until his retirement in 2017.

Surviving are his wife, Melanie Mize Hipp; step-sons, Brandon M. (Jennifer) Shaw of John’s Island; Daniel A. (Whitney) Shaw of Batesburg-Leesville; step grandchildren, Bowen and Conway Shaw; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug (Pam) Hipp; Michael (Julie) Hipp; nieces and nephews, Nicholas (Kimberly) Hipp; Lindsay (Nate) Wicker; Nathan Hipp; Mackenzie Hipp; and mother-in-law, Sandra Mize. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steven R. Hipp; and father-in-law, Billy Mize.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 80 Zion Circle Drive, Prosperity, SC 29127, Pawmetto Lifeline, 1275 Bower Parkway, Columbia, SC 29212, or MSA Hospice, 180 Commerce Drive, Newberry, SC 29108.
