Mark Lesley Herron

We are saddened to announce the passing of Mark Lesley Herron, 44, of Leesville, on Friday February 25, 2022. He was born in Columbia, a son to Carolyn Ann and the late Grover “Wade” Herron. Mr. Herron was a carpenter most of his life. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, shooting pool, and was an avid Gamecock football fan. He loved his family and friends.

He leaves behind his mother; brothers, Mike, David, Kevin, and Shawn (Jessica); nieces, Brittney, Candy, Ahnika, Caitlin, and Lilly; and nephews, Tyler, Hunter, Caleb, Connor, Joey, and Ryan. As well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins to cherish his memory. Mark was preceded in death by his father; nephew, Travis Herron; and sister-in-law, Lucretia Herron.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5th at 11:00 A.M. at Horrell Hill Baptist Church, 920 Horrell Hill Road, Hopkins, SC 29061, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Randy Moore will officiate. Active pallbearers will be: Glen Gerringer, David New, Brandon Ricard, Jesse Jones, Mervin Fields, and Vincent Fields. Honorary pallbearer will be Joey Powell. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, March 4th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank friends and neighbors who have reached out to offer condolences and brought food.
