Mary Ellen Heyward

Mary Ellen Heyward, 64, of Batesburg, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 4, at 2:00 PM in Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Hall Town Cemetery conducted by Pastor Scott Szalwinski.
Mrs. Heyward was born in Aiken, SC daughter of the late Joe F. Clark and Nina Lee Hall Clark. She was the widow of the late Leon Heyward Sr.

Surviving are her daughter, Melinda M. Gunter (Will) of Batesburg; son, Randall Heyward (Lisa) of Leesville; sisters, Ruth Sease, Brenda Poole, Judy New and Alice Shealy; brother, Leonard Clark; grandchildren: Kaylynn Heyward, Christina Gunter, Nicolas Crosby, Danielle Crosby, Kimberly Heyward, Lee Heyward, and Samantha Heyward; great grandson, Jackson Heyward; special friend, Gary Phillips. Mrs. Heyward was predeceased by her sons, Leon Steve Heyward, Leon Dennis Heyward Jr. and Joey Heyward; grandson, William Wade Gunter; sisters, Carolyn Kern, Louise Poole; brother, Joe Dean Clark.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, February 3, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her daughter.
