Nancy Elizabeth Martin

Nancy Elizabeth Keefe Martin, 70, of Lexington, SC, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Frederee Keefe, of Columbia.

She is survived by her companion, Thomas Byrne, of Chicago, IL; daughters, Elizabeth "Kris" Shelley Mack (Michael), of Lexington, SC, Wendy Ballew Fitzpatrick (Kris) of Phoenix, AZ, Amber Shelley of Lexington, SC, Traci Shelley of Pawleys Island, SC, and Tara Scott of Lexington, SC; and son, Caleb Keefe of Lexington, SC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lance and Lauren Mack of Lexington, SC, Arielle Ballew, Brielle and Killian Fitzpatrick of Phoenix, AZ.

Ms. Martin worked for several decades in the childcare industry, specializing in early childhood development. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach, where she would fish from the pier. An avid sports fan, her favorite time of year was college football season, and her favorite team was the Carolina Gamecocks. She could often be found drinking her coffee outdoors with Thomas or reading a book with one of her many fur babies in her lap. She was strong in her faith and loved spending time with her family, especially family cookouts.

The service for Ms. Martin will be held at 4 o'clock on Thursday, August 15th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home with visitation being held one hour prior to the service from 3 until 4 o'clock.
